Job Description: Residential Maintenance, Repair & Interior Renovation
This full-time position reports directly to and works under the direction of the Maintenance Manager.
REQUIRED: Hands-on knowledge and experience in carpentry related to general residential repairs,
maintenance and renovations.
ASSET: Knowledge and experience relating to dry-wall, painting, plumbing and
electrical. You must be able to work unsupervised, be able to work efficiently and competently at all assigned tasks, have a professional approach to work, be a team player, be able to keep detailed records of work activities, know how to work safely, work in a neat and tidy fashion and have good communication skills.
During working hours, you will use your personal vehicle to drive from worksite to worksite within the
Retirement Miramichi subdivision (no off-site riving is required) and you will be compensated for mileage. You are required to supply your own hand tools.
Speaking, reading and writing in English is essential.
In this position you will interact with residents in their home and must be able to work under this condition and in an acceptable manner.

This is a full-time position – 40 hours per week. If additional skills allow this position will also participate in paid, scheduled after-hours on-call. From time to time, emergency call-in service is required. After-hours
emergency call-ins requires use of personal vehicle and mileage will be compensated.
Minimum qualifications:
- high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- minimum of three (3) years carpentry experience in residential maintenance, repair and interior
renovation. Experience in dry-wall, painting, plumbing and electrical is an asset. - Class 5 driver license
- Dependable vehicle to be used during the workday
Remuneration:
- Hourly rate: $26.00 to $27.20 per hour depending upon qualifications

Conditions of employment:
- Successful candidate will be required to present a current Criminal Record History Check and such document must be to the satisfaction of the General Manager.
- The successful candidate will serve a three-month probationary period to evaluate performance.
- The successful candidate will supply their own basic hand tools (excluding power tools) and dependable vehicle.
- Speaking, reading and writing in English is essential.
